Oddly enough, after I moved down to Portland, I used to run by Will Vinton Studios, a company known for their claymation. They did the Domino Pizza Noid and the California Raisins. As I jogged by, I’d see the clay characters in the window, and knew I’d just love to work there. In another strange twist of fate, I ended up moving across the hall from a producer who worked there. I had done some sculptures when I was younger, so I showed her some of my work. She must have liked my work because she put me in touch with her art director and before I knew it I was hired to build models and props for stop-motion animation.
